Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The September sizzle continues with late season temperatures in the 80s and 90s across much of the region.
Heat Advisories are posted for a portion of Western New York again on Wednesday, with heat indexes forecast to be in the mid 90s for Niagara, Orleans and Genesee Counties and Eastward into Rochester.
"Mid summer heat and humidity will persist through Wednesday as an exaggerated area of stacked high pressure over the eastern third of the country will remain anchored in place," forecasters at the National Weather Service in Buffalo say. "The steamy airmass will support heat index values Wednesday in the mid to upper 90s for a large portion of the region where heat advisories will once again be in place."

"A gradual pattern change will offer day to day cooling but with more unsettled conditions for the second half of the week."
