Atlanta-based customer-contact service provider Chime Solutions announced Tuesday that it is expanding in Charlotte. 250 new jobs for licensed life and health insurance agents will be added. Chime Solutions is partnering with Central Piedmont Community College to provide free testing and training for qualified candidates.
Chime Solutions was awarded Charlotte’s first Opportunity Hiring Grant, which gives the company incentives to hire candidates from workforce development partners. Mayor Vi Lyles said, “The 250 jobs that are being funded by the opportunity grant are really a signal that people are ready to be retrained or trained to do something that would allow them to work in our city at a wage that they can afford to live in our city. I think you’ve seen clearly from the city council’s policies and directives that our goal is to have people be able to raise their family, live in a great neighborhood and have a good job.”
“We are thrilled to be expanding in Charlotte and I want to thank Mayor Lyles and her team for the work they did to get us here,” Chime CEO Mark Wilson said. “This partnership and the jobs that we’re bringing to Charlotte fit perfectly with the city’s upward mobility goals and it also gives us access to a very talented workforce. We are excited to be here and I look forward to a great future in Charlotte.”
Chime Solutions provides customer-contact services to various industries including health care, telecommunications, financial services and insurance.
