The world is mourning the sudden loss of actor Chadwick Boseman. Best known for his role as King T'Challa in Marvel Studio's "Black Panther," the 43-year-old lost a four-year battle with cancer on Friday. A fight Boseman took on privately while working to complete several major motion pictures.
Bo Thompson chronicled Boseman's life with CinemaBlend's managing director Sean O'Connell on Monday. The iconic scene with the phrase "Wakanda Forever" will be "without a doubt, one of the most memorable movie moments this generation is going to have," O'Connell said. "It goes to show just how an audience connected with his portrayal of character, all due respect, isn't a household name."
Among Boseman's filmography outside of Black Panther was biographical depictions of cultural icons James Brown in 'Get on Up' in 2014 and Jackie Robinson in '42' in 2013.
