Starting yesterday, those people part of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons community will be able to support the Biden-Harris campaign. A new state-of-the-art initiative to organize voters online this fall allows people to put yard signs in front of their island houses.

"Animal crossing is really a great way for people young and old," cyber security expert Theresa Payton told The Bo Thompson Morning Show. "When you think about traditional political campaigns, you've got the kissing of babies, shaking of hands and going to the rallies and going to the barbecue joints, and what else-- yard signs. And so, it's really interesting that in Animal Crossing, the The Biden-Harris campaign, they're actually going to have yard signs in this video game. It's pretty ingenious."

The democratic team released four sign designs for players to download. One featuring the official Biden-Harris logo, Team Joe logo, the “Joe” Pride logo, and an image of aviator sunglasses shaded in red, white, and blue. The designs will be accessible by scanning the design QR codes through the Nintendo Switch Online app.

Where there is one, there may be more. Experts believe if occupying a digital space in Animal Crossing goes well for Biden and Harris, an expansion to other video games could be on the horizon for the campaign.
