Theresa Payton stopped by The Bo Thompson Morning Show on Wednesday for her weekly appearance. Thompson & Payton covered a handful of topics, including platform outages for Zoom, preparing for Hurricane Laura, and security at virtual events.

Leading off with the Zoom issues, Payton said "the East Coast definitely experienced some issues on Monday," and reminded listeners to try "a website called 'Down Detector.'"

"If you go there, you can see if (Zoom) is just down for you, or if it's just down for a lot of people," Payton added.

Thompson switched gears to Hurricane Laura, which is expected to wreak havoc on the Gulf Coast. Payton implored residents to evacuate to safety.

"I didn't sleep for weeks after doing various hurricane recoveries, they're very devestating," Payton recalled.

Pay also suggested using "walkie-talkie apps" like Zello, and praised their ability to "bounce between cellular, wifi, and bluetooth" during an emergency.

Before closing the conversation, Thompson discussed new tecnology being used by the WWE that allows fans to dial in virtually. However during a virutal event, the WWE discovered an indivudal streaming themself in Ku Klux Klan garb.

Payton quickly dencounced the behvaior calling it "abhorrent," and saying "it's a stark reminder that you have to have someone clearly moderating what is going in each one of those video boxes" during a live event.
