One person is dead after a shooting in northeast Charlotte, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police department.
Police responded to the 800 block of Potenza Drive shortly before 2:30 a.m. on Saturday after a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. When officers arrived, they found 22-year-old O’Bryant Robinson with a gunshot wound in a home. No further details were provided by investigators.
Robinson was pronounced deceased on the scene by Medic.
Another grim killing in Charlotte bringing the homicide total to 98 for the year.
