NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Hillary Clinton says the thought of Donald Trump winning the election makes her physically ill.

The pair famously duked it out in the 2016 presidential election but the former Secretary of State lost to the Republican real estate developer-turned-politician.

"I can’t entertain the idea of him winning," Clinton said on New York Times reporter Kara Swisher's podcast "Sway."

A Trump win, Clinton said, "would cause cognitive dissonance of a grave degree. It makes me literally sick to my stomach to think that we'd have four more years of abuse and destruction of our institutions and damaging of our norms and values and lessening of our leadership, and the list goes on."

Clinton said one of the "most important accomplishments" she's expecting is a Democratic-controlled Senate, which she described as the "check (Democrats) would need against abusive power."

As for why Republicans still attack her, she said, "There is a deep sense of unfairness and dismissiveness toward his victory. And he knows it. So part of what he’s doing by attacking me is trying to sure-up himself."

And, she added, "There is something deeply unsettling to a strata of America voters about a woman getting that close to being president."
