EAST HILLS, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Police arrested a trio accused of beating and robbing a woman at a Long Island gas station earlier this month after she asked one of the suspects to move their U-Haul truck.
The incident happened just before 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5, when a 36-year-old woman stopped for fuel at the Mobil gas station located at 449 Glen Cove Road in East Hills.
According to detectives, the woman asked Kayla Paden, 23, to move her U-Haul truck in order to pull her vehicle up to the gas pump.
Paden then struck the victim knocking her to the ground, officials said.
Kasheen Ali, 34, and Victor S. Garrison Jr., 23, then exited the U-Haul where one began kicking, punching and striking the victim before stealing her necklace, authorities said.
All three then reentered the U-Haul and fled westbound on the Long Island Expressway South Service Road.
The female victim refused medical attention at the scene.
Garrison Jr., 23, and Paden were arrested on Saturday, Sept. 23, and each charged with assault and two counts of robbery.
They were arraigned on Sunday, Sept. 24.
Ali was arrested on on Wednesday, Sept. 6. He is charged with assault and two counts of robbery.
He was arraigned on Thursday, Sept. 7.
