NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A suspect was arrested in last week's attempted rape of a woman near Gracie Mansion on the Upper East Side, police said.

Quincy Burks, 30, was picked up by police around 6:45 p.m. Monday after a canvas of Carl Schurz Park, where he was known to frequent.

Police described Burks as undomiciled and said he has no prior arrests.

He faces charges of attempted rape and sex abuse in the first degree, as well as forcible touching and sex abuse in the third degree, according to police.

The NYPD previously released video of the suspect in Saturday morning's sex attack at East 90th Street and East End Avenue in Yorkville, steps from the mayor's official residence at Gracie Mansion.

A 19-year-old woman was walking in the area at 1:15 a.m. when a man pushed her to the ground and tried to rape her, police said.

A doorman heard her screams and rushed to her aid, scaring off the man, according to reports.

“She was lying on the floor, banged up. There was blood on her shirt,” the doorman, Hector Mateo, 44, told the Daily News.

She was taken to Weill Cornell Medical Center in stable condition.
