The menorah stood on Union Turnpike in Hollis Hills, but it was left with most of its lights broken after police responded to a report for it being pushed over, according to the Daily News.

Queens Assemblyman David Weprin voiced his displeasure over the damage.

“One day before Chanukah the large menorah at Union Tpke. and 220 St. was knocked down and its lights broken. Chanukah is a time of peace and joy. I gathered with civic and religious leaders today to state that no acts of anti-Semitism will ever be tolerated!” he said.

Rabbi Yerachmiel Zalmanov, of Chabad of Eastern Queens, put up the menorah and called the cops for the damage, according to the Daily News.

Police said the incident is being looked into, according to the report.

According to the Daily News, a menorah was pushed over at the exact same location twice in 2014. No arrests were ever made.
