Attacker punches man, slashes his tire outside Brooklyn Key Food: NYPD

NEW YORK — Police are searching for a man who allegedly slashed another man’s car tire and punched him in the face after the two got into a fight outside a Key Food supermarket in Brooklyn on Monday.

The 54-year-old victim got into an argument with another man after he parked his SUV in front of a Key Food on Gerritsen Avenue in Gerritsen Beach around 3:40 p.m., the NYPD said Wednesday.

At some point during the dispute, the man slashed the victim’s tire with an “unknown sharp object,” police said.

When the victim confronted the man, the man punched him in the face and ran off, according to police.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for a cut to his face, the NYPD said.

Police are now searching for his alleged attacker, an approximately 30-year-old man who stands around five feet, seven inches tall and weighs around 170 pounds.

The man was last seen wearing a blue face mask, a black tank top, blue shots and black sneakers, according to police.
