
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A man went on a stabbing spree at a laundromat in the Bronx early Thursday, killing one man and wounding another, police said.
The attack unfolded shortly before 2:45 a.m. inside the 303 Laundromat on East 170th Street in Claremont.
According to witnesses, a man carrying shirts walked into the laundromat before stabbing the two men.
He stabbed a 47-year-old man in the legs and body and another man in the back, police said.
The second man was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was pronounced dead. His name and age weren't immediately known.
The 47-year-old man was taken to the same hospital in stable condition.
The suspect, who is believed to be in his 30s, fled the scene and was last seen running southbound on College Avenue, police said.
No arrests had been reported as of Thursday.
It wasn’t immediately clear if there was a motive for the stabbing or if it was an unprovoked attack.
