NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are investigating the death of a man struck by two drivers in a crash on the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn Monday night.
At approximately 10:30 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a vehicle collision on the Belt Parkway in the vicinity of Plumb Beach just off Sheepshead Bay.
Upon arrival officers observed 24-year-old Rakibul Hasan unconscious and unresponsive, with trauma throughout the body.
EMS transported Hasan to Lutheran Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
A preliminary investigation determined that Hasan was operating a Toyota Prius sedan eastbound on the Belt Parkway when he was struck by a BMW sedan from behind.
The initial collision forced the Toyota sedan over the median separating the eastbound and westbound sides of the Belt Parkway.
Once across the median, the Toyota sedan was struck by a Honda CRV SUV traveling westbound.
The other drivers remained at the scene following the collision.
EMS transported the 23-year-old man driving the BMW to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition and the 35-year-old woman driving the Honda to NYU Langone Brooklyn in stable condition.
No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing by the NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad.
