NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Drugs, ghost guns and ghost gun printers were discovered in an ongoing investigation at a day care center in East Harlem, officials said in a press conference on Wednesday.
The day care, suspected of being a front for illegal activity, was operated by one of the suspects inside of an apartment on East 117th Street, police said.
Detectives announced that they had executed three separate search warrants and discovered a ghost gun printing and drug dealing operation.
Three individuals, including two minors were arrested, police said.
Jamal Coley, an 18-year-old boy, was involved in 3D printing of firearms, police said. A search warrant was executed at his residence, a licensed day care run by his mother.
The investigation comes following a similar Bronx daycare fentanyl case where a 1-year-old boy died and three other children were sickened from suspected drug exposure.
Four suspects including the day care owner have been arrested in the Bronx day care case.
Multiple arrests have been made for the East Harlem day care case and the investigation is ongoing.
