NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — New Yorkers who are vaccinated against COVID-19 are eligible for yet another freebie.

Krispy Kreme announced earlier this week that it would be giving away a free doughnut to anyone who shows their vaccination card at checkout.

Now, New York’s iconic Junior’s Restaurant is stepping up with their own offer.

Between Monday, March 29 and Memorial Day, any person who shows proof of their COVID-19 vaccination at the restaurant can get a free mini cheesecake.

The offer is only valid at the restaurant’s Brooklyn location, located on Flatbush Avenue EXT in Downtown Brooklyn.

The cheesecakes use a special recipe of premium cream cheese, eggs, heavy cream, and some vanilla on top of their signature sponge cake.

The freebies – which are cupcake-sized version of the original product – use the same recipe and will display a picture of a COVID-19 vaccine vial along with the phrase “Get A Jab.”

The Flatbush Avenue eatery opened its doors back in the 1950s, founded by Harry Rosen. The iconic chain has since become known as the “home of New York’s best cheesecake.”
