LEVITTOWN, N.Y. (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A 64-year-old woman died two months after she awoke to a burglar striking her face inside her Long Island home, according to Nassau County police.
According to detectives, officers responded to a residential home in Levittown for a possible burglary on Sunday, June 9, at 2:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, officials determined that Linda Levy was asleep in her home when she was awoken by a suspect striking her in the face with an unknown object.
The suspect fled scene in an unknown direction.
The victim was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment of her injuries.
