
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police on Thursday released surveillance footage of a man accused of robbing a man at gunpoint while sitting on a Bronx bench earlier this month.
It happened just after 7 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11, in the vicinity of Metropolitan Avenue and Purdy Street in Parkchester,
According to officials, the 65-year-old man was sitting on a bench when the suspect approached him from behind, displayed a firearm and stole his jewelry.
The suspect fled the location on foot but then entered a vehicle going southbound on Olmstead Avenue.
The suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, yellow shorts, white sneakers, and a black bucket hat.
