
JERSEY CITY, N.J. (WCBS 880) -- Officials have charged a 38-year-old man for sexually assaulting a teen girl in October 2020 in New Jersey, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
Percell Mallard was arrested Tuesday morning by members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit.

He was charged with second-degree sexual assault and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, Suarez said.
Jersey City Police Department notified members of the Special Victims Unit on Nov. 18 about the alleged sexual assaults that began in October 2020 at home in Jersey City, Suarez added.
He was arrested following an investigation by the SVU.
Mallard was a friend of the family, according to officials.
He was taken to the Hudson County jail in Kearny pending his first court appearance. Prosecutor Suarez credited the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit with the investigation and arrest.
