BOUND BROOK, N.J (WCBS 880) -- Authorities arrested a man they said sexually abused a 12-year-old girl he met on social media, according to Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald.
Officials charged 20-year-old Lenic Galvin with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault by contact and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Officials launched an investigation after the allegations were reported last week.
According to prosecutors, the victim stated that she met an unknown male, later identified as Galvin, on social media.
Galvin arranged for the victim to be transported to his home where he sexually assaulted her, authorities added.
“The victim stated that she met an unknown male on social media, whom was later identified as Lenic Galvin. Galvin arranged for transportation for the victim to his residence where he sexually assaulted her,” McDonald said in a statement.
Galvin remains at the Somerset County Jail ahead of a detention hearing.
