NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police are searching for two men accused of pistol-whipping a man during a Bronx vehicle theft earlier this month.

It happened at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11,, in the vicinity of East 222nd street and White Plains Road in Olinville, authorities said.

According to officials, a 24-year-old man was approached by the two suspects while sitting in his car.

The suspects took out a firearm and struck the victim multiple times in the face, then fled in the victim's vehicle to parts unknown.

The victim sustained injuries to his face and was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi.
