Man snatches chain off woman’s neck in Brooklyn: police

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — A man snatched a necklace right off a woman’s neck in Brooklyn, police said Saturday.

Cops are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect in the robbery, which occurred back on Saturday, Sept. 18, according to police.

Around 8:40 a.m. that Saturday a man approached a 51-year-old women from behind and tore her necklace off outside 1221 Prospect Avenue in Windsor Terrace, police said.

The crook then took off on foot.

The victim suffered a minor injury to her neck but declined medical attention, police said.

Surveillance footage released by the NYPD Saturday shows a suspect wearing a red baseball cap, white t-shirt, black socks and white sneakers.
