Man sought in anti-Hispanic attack in the Bronx

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to identify a man wanted in a hate crime investigation for an anti-Hispanic attack in the Bronx earlier this week.

It happened at about 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 01, inside the lobby of a building located at 675 East 140th St. in Mott Haven, authorities said.

According to officials, the suspect approached a 61-year-old man and punched him in the face while making anti-Hispanic statements.

The suspect then fled on foot to parts unknown.

The victim refused medical attention.

The NYPD's Hate Crime Task Force is investigating.
