
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A man was hit by a train after he was bumped onto the subway tracks in Brooklyn on Thursday, police said.
It happened as a southbound R train entered the Jay Street-Metro Tech subway station in Downtown Brooklyn at 11:04 a.m.
The train’s emergency brake was applied, but it was too late. The man was struck and transported to an area hospital.
It was not immediately known the man’s condition.
Police took a male person of interest into custody in relation to this incident.
Southbound N, R and Q trains were delayed as emergency teams responded to the scene.
