
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — An unidentified man was found floating near a Brooklyn pier on Sunday afternoon, police said.
Officials received a call at around 1:49 p.m. of a man floating in the water by Pier 12 near Van Brunt and King streets in Red Hook.
Authorities pulled a man believed to be in his 30s unconscious and unresponsive from the water.
EMS pronounced the man dead on the scene. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
The identification of the man is pending family notification.
An investigation remains ongoing.
