
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police on Thursday released photos of two men accused of trying to sell a man candy in Midtown then robbing him of more than $1,500 last month.
It happened at approximately 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, in front of 1293 Broadway, authorities said.
According to officials, the two suspects approached a 22-year-old man and offered to sell him candy.
The man didn’t have the money, so the two suspects demanded that he go to Capital One Bank and Chase Bank to disperse two separate transactions totaling approximately $1,516, cops said.
The suspects fled to parts unknown once the victim handed them the money.
