NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- The NYPD and District Attorney Melinda Katz will host a gun buyback event in Queens on Saturday, authorities announced.

The public is urged to surrender an operable weapon in exchange for a $200 Bank Card and an iPad.
The event will take place at the Calvary Assembly of God Church located at 102-07 Rockaway Boulevard in Ozone Park and will run from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The buyback event is 100% anonymous, with absolutely no questions asked, officials said.
Anyone who turns in two or more operable firearms will receive an additional $250 gift card to Food Bazaar Supermarket.
This is the seventh Queens DA gun buyback since 2020. To date, nearly 400 guns have been recovered.
