Police said an estimated $1.2 million worth of jewels were stolen just before 1 p.m. outside 1450 47th St. in Borough Park.
A man told police two men walked up to him as he sat in his car, threatened him and stole bags full of jewels from the trunk.
The thieves took off in a Ford Taurus with temporary New Jersey plates reading 19916T, according to Citizen.
Police said their investigation is ongoing.
