Teacher arrested for punching another teacher in 'ongoing dispute' at Harlem school: NYPD

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — A New York City public school teacher was arrested Monday after she allegedly punched another teacher at a Harlem school, authorities said.

The incident happened at around 2:45 p.m. on Monday at P.S. 129 John H. Finley on West 130th Street near St. Nicholas Terrace, officials said.

According to an NYPD spokesperson, 59-year-old Veronica Lawyer, allegedly punched a teacher involved in "an ongoing dispute."

Lawyer is facing an assault charge.

She has been a Department of Education employee since 1990, according to city records.
