Video: Thieves make off with over $7K worth of medication from Queens store


NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Police are looking for the two individuals who stole nearly $8,000 worth of over-the-counter medication from a Queens BJ’s Wholesale Club on Friday.

According to police, an unidentified man and woman entered the shopping center, located on 48th Street in Long Island City, at around 8 p.m. on Friday.

Authorities say the two loaded up multiple shopping carts with merchandise, including Advil, Tylenol and Pepcid before fleeing through an emergency exit without paying.

Police say the merchandise was valued at $7,941.

The unidentified couple were last seen getting into a dark-colored four-door sedan.

Police have released video of the suspects, which shows the two fleeing with carts full of stolen goods through an emergency exit inside the store.
