N.J. (WCBS 880) -- Officials are investigating after an unidentified person was struck and killed by a NJ Transit train early Tuesday in New Jersey, according to authorities.

A spokesperson for the NJ Transit said a person was hit by a train near the Passaic station at about 2 a.m.
The Suffern, New York-bound line left Hoboken just after 1:30 a.m. and had six people on board.
Nobody aboard the train was injured.
The spokesman said they are trying to identify the victim.
The incident came less than two days after a juvenile was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train in Point Pleasant Beach on Sunday.
