SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. (WCBS 880) — Police in Suffolk County are offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in connection with a fatal shooting on a Native American reservation.
According to authorities, State Police officers responded to a 911 call of an unresponsive man laying on the roadway on Old Point Road around 10 p.m. on Nov. 5.
Officers discovered 43-year-old Ali Wisdom, of Sag Harbor – who is not a member of the Shinnecock Nation – with a bullet wound in his neck.
Wisdom was transported to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital where he died a short time later.
Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the person or people responsible for the shooting.
