VIDEO: Curtis Sliwa disses 'disgraced' Cuomo by covering up his name on Pier 76 sign

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Republican New York City mayoral nominee Curtis Sliwa responded to Gov. Andrew Cuomo's resignation Tuesday by covering up the outgoing governor's name on a Hudson River pier sign with his incoming replacement.

"I stand here today as mayoral candidate to be the first to welcome her as our governor," Sliwa said. "To welcome her to correct all of the problems that Cuomo has created with his own personal faux pas ... I'll be the first to actually change the name from the disgraced Andrew Cuomo who is on all the New York state signage to Kathy Hochul."

Sliwa promised to continue covering up Cuomo's name throughout the city with Hochul's name throughout the five boroughs.

"Everywhere where the name Governor Andrew Cuomo is, within the next two weeks, I will personally change it."
