VIDEO: Group beats up, robs man in Brooklyn subway station; 5 sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 47-year-old man was beat up and robbed of thousands of dollars in jewelry by a group of five young men at a Brooklyn subway station last month, police said.

According to police, the group had a verbal dispute with the victim inside the Rockaway Parkway subway station on May 18 at around 3 a.m.

The individuals then began to punch and kick the man in the head and throughout the body before forcibly removing his bag containing jewelry valued at around $7,550.

Video shows the victim brawling with the group on a subway platform as subway riders walk by.

Cops said the group fled fled on foot, southbound on Rockaway Parkway.

The victim was transported to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center by private means with minor injuries.

The suspects are described as being around 16 to 20 years of age.
