NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – Police are searching for four people after a man was chased, dragged and pummeled in a robbery at a busy Times Square subway station this week.

The 26-year-old victim was attacked around 6:15 p.m. Monday on the mezzanine level of the Times Square–42nd Street station, police said.
Surveillance video released Thursday by police shows the victim being chased down the corridor near Port Authority and then dragged to the ground as straphangers pass during the evening rush.

Police said the victim was punched in the head and robbed of his backpack.
He suffered pain and bruising to his face and neck. EMS transported him to NYU Langone Health, where he was listed in stable condition.
The NYPD is looking to question two men and two women seen in the surveillance video.
