VIDEO: NYPD search for gunmen in Harlem shooting incident

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — The NYPD is searching for the individuals who fired several gunshots at each other near a Harlem apartment complex during the early morning Friday.

The incident was reported to police just after 6 a.m. on Friday, March 27 in the back of an apartment complex on Eighth Avenue.

Police say they responded to a call of a firearm discharge and when officers arrived, they discovered several shell casings from two separate firearms.

An investigation determined that two unknown male individuals had exchanged gunfire at each other from across the street.

It’s unclear if the two men were hurt in the exchange. They were seen on surveillance video fleeing the scene on foot in opposite directions.

Police released footage of one of the two individuals involved in the shooting, which was taken during the incident.

He is described as a male, 20-30 years in age.
