VIDEO: Teen shot, wounded as gunman opens fire in Coney Island lobby

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – A teen was shot and wounded by a gunman who opened fire in a Coney Island apartment lobby this week, video released Friday shows.

The 17-year-old victim was inside a residential building near West 24th Street and Surf Avenue on Monday evening when he was targeted by two people, police said.

Video shows the suspects entering the lobby around 7 p.m. before one of them pulls a handgun and fires shots at the teen.

Video shows a resident rushing for cover and another person ducking behind a desk as the shots ring out.

The teen victim was struck in his left foot, police said. He was transported by EMS to NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn, where he was in stable condition.

The suspects were last seen fleeing the apartment building.
