NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – New video from the NYPD shows two groups of young people shooting at each other near a Bronx elementary school.
Police released the video Thursday as they search for five young men in connection with the brazen shootout on the afternoon of Oct. 5.
The groups exchanged gunfire at East 150th Street and Cedar Lane, just steps away from the Boys Prep Bronx Elementary School in the Concourse section.
Video shows a chaotic scene as the two groups—one with three males and the other with two males—opening fire on the busy street at 2:50 p.m. Police said there was one shooter in each group.

Children can be seen walking on a nearby street as the gunfire rings out. A man also appears to take cover in the back of a van.
Police said no injuries were reported.
The suspects are believed to be in their late teens or early 20s.
