NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Wegmans announced Tuesday it will require its employees to wear a face mask while at work, amid a rise in the delta variant and breakthrough COVID-19 cases.
The grocery store chain, which has a location in Brooklyn and recently announced they will open a Manhattan location in 2023, also asked shoppers to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status.
However, the company did not move to enforce a customer mask mandate like Walmart, Kroger and Target did after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated its mask guidance last week.
