NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — A "white powdery substance" that was mailed to a Fox News employee Friday morning was determined to be non-hazardous, a network spokesperson said.
The discovery by a reported television personality on the 21st floor of their Sixth Avenue headquarters just before noon, according to the The New York Post.
"We immediately notified the NYPD’s Hazmat unit and the FDNY, both of which responded accordingly and our offices were given an all clear after it was determined that the substance was non-hazardous," the spokesperson said.
The Post reports the recipient was a "TV host" that isolated himself in his office until authorities arrived and concluded the powder was not dangerous.
