NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A woman was pummeled during an anti-Muslim hate crime at the Atlantic Terminal Mall in Downtown Brooklyn this week, police said Friday as they released images of a suspect.

The 34-year-old victim was attacked at 139 Flatbush Ave., which is the address for the mall, around 8:40 p.m. Wednesday.

Her attacker—a heavyset male between 16 and 20 years old—walked up and punched her in the face multiple times, police said.

He made anti-Muslim comments during the assault, according to police, who said the NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating.

The victim’s injuries did not require hospitalization, police said.

The suspect fled on foot westbound on Atlantic Avenue, according to police.
