EAST HAMPTON, N.Y. (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Suffolk County officials are offering a cash reward for information that leads to the arrest of a man accused of injuring a woman during a home invasion burglary on Long Island on Monday.

According to officials, at 4:40 p.m., the man entered a home on Old Stone Highway in East Hampton .

During the burglary, police said he grabbed a senior resident around the neck and pushed her to the ground.

She was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect stole cash and fled, authorities said. He was last seen at a market on Springs Fireplace Road.

Investigators believe he was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt during the burglary and carrying it following the incident. He was last seen wearing a medical mask under his chin and a backpack with an Adidas logo.
