NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A woman was wounded by a stray bullet near a Bronx grocery on Sunday where an argument broke out between two men, police said.
During the argument between two men at around 10 p.m. near 504 East 180th Street, one of them took out a gun and opened fire aiming at the other, police said.
The suspect accidentally shot a 41-year-old woman in the torso.
The shooter immediately ran away from the scene in a red sedan. He was last seen heading eastbound on East Tremont Avenue.
Police have released a description of the suspect, noting he was wearing a baseball hat, a heavy fur-lined winter coat, a camouflage shirt and pants, and tan boots.
The victim was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital and is in stable condition, according to police.
