NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (WCBS 880) — Steve Pikiell, the head coach of the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, sat with WCBS 880’s Brad Heller for an interview ahead of the start of the Big Ten Conference on Saturday.

The Knights will face off against the Indiana University Hoosiers at 4 p.m. on Saturday for their first game of the Big Ten schedule.

Indiana is undefeated this season, and Pikiell expects they’ll put up a strong fight.

“When you play a team like Indiana, you gotta be really good,” he told WCBS 880. “You gotta be good at both ends of the floor. There’s not a huge margin for error in a game like this. We’re excited about taking on that challenge.”

Over the course of the conference, Rutgers will take on the best teams in the country.
