And no, we're not including "I Got You, Babe."

Scott Shannon:
The Rolling Stones - "Brown Sugar"
My favorite classic stones song!
Mark Ronson + Bruno Mars - "Uptown Funk"
My favorite newer song!
AC/DC - "You Shook Me All Night Long"
I could listen to this song all day!
Broadway Bill Lee:
Steely Dan - "Do It Again"
It's just an habitual ritual to get you all in the mood for Groundhog Day!
Dave Clarke Five - "Over and Over"
Dave Clarke Five sing about doing the same ol' thing --- over and over.
The Four Tops - "Same Old Song"
Levi Stubbs and his buds bring it back and bring it back AND BRING IT BACK AGAIN!
'Brooklyn's Own' Joe Causi:
Ah yes, besides Groundhog Day being the midpoint of winter, it also happens to be my birthday. Yes, 'Brooklyn’s Own' has a little groundhog in him and as in the movie -- if there were three songs that I could listen to each and every day under that Groundhog spell it would be...
Jimmy Buffet - "Somethin’ 'bout a Boat"
The song just makes you feel good and always takes me to that warm place in my mind.
Frank Sinatra - "Summer Wind"
Need I say more?
Van Morrison - "Brown Eyed Girl"
The track is timeless. You can play it twenty years from now to a totally new audience and it still sounds fresh and new!
Dave Stewart:
Bruce Springsteen - "Born to Run"
What teenager doesn't dream about breaking free? For Bruce, it was about getting out of Freehold, but it's a safe bet that each Springsteen fan has painted their own story while listening to this. I'm one of them. Between the lyrics, the intensity, the wall-of-sound production, and Clarence's sax, I can play it over and over.
Ross Brittain:
Narrowing it down to three songs is quite a chore. Being on the radio for 40+ years and doing top-40, country and album rock there's quite a few ways to go. Of course I had to look at my iPhone and see what songs are on my go-to songs list and here are some of my favorites:
Marc Cohn - "Walkin' in Memphis"
A story song like Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire." I sing along to it when we play it on CBS-FM. Badly, and it's a good thing you're not in the studio.
Barenaked Ladies - "It's All Been Done Before"
Another story song. I love Springsteen's "Born to Run" but I couldn't listen to it all day... but I've got it as my wake-up alarm tone on my phone. Finally,
Boys II Men - "Motown/Philly"
Never gets old, and having lived in the Philly area for several years, it's a "Yo, How YOU doin'?" reminder. And by the way, they'll be at Radio City Feb 15th!
HAPPY GROUNDHOG DAY, EVERYONE!
