Two Airport Police officers are recovering after an assault at the Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport.
Airport Police Officers were dispatched at 3:17 AM on Tuesday, after receiving a report of a man without a ticket trying to get through the north security checkpoint at Terminal 1. According to the police report, the man did not have a boarding pass.
The individual was identified Isse Dijale Ali, 31, of Richfield. According to Airport Spokesman Pat Hogan, the officers approached Ali, that’s when he allegedly punched them.
One officer was taken to an area hospital and released; the other was treated at the scene.
Ali was taken to the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center. He's now charged with 4th degree assault.
