This upcoming Saturday promises to be a big day for St. Thomas football, as the Tommies prepare to take on Bethel with a share of the conference title on the line — not to mention it’s also Senior Day, Homecoming and there is Hall of Fame ceremony at halftime.
“It doesn't get much bigger than this,” Coach Glenn Caruso told News Talk 830 WCCO host Dave Lee.
Caruso said that the Tommies can expect a challenge from Bethel and their 6’4’’quarterback Jaran Roste .
“He's probably 245, 250 pounds and athletic, and he runs the ball and he's very good. Their offensive line probably doesn't get all the credit they deserve and they certainly deserve some great credit,” Caruso told Lee. “But they'll do everything from spreading it out with three wide receivers to getting into three backs, playing guys both ways and running a straight T with two tights and they love doing that, so we'll have to be prepared for all of that. They're very, very talented."
