The man accused kidnapping Jayme Closs and killing her parents is now being held on five-million dollars bond.

Jacob Patterson appeared via video in Barron County Court Monday — charged with two counts of first-degree murder and kidnapping.  Patterson, appearing in an orange jail jumpsuit, was matter-of-fact when answering questions from the judge.

Charging documents reveal Patterson allegedly shot and killed James Closs through a window before he shot his way into the Closs home on October 15th.  He then is alleged to have broke into the bathroom where Jayme and her mother Denise were hiding. He's then accused of forcing Denise to put tape over Jayme's mouth, before he fatally shot Denise as Jayme watched.
