The Mayo Clinic is offering some advice to women who are pregnant during the pandemic. Obstetrician Regan Theiler says they're using telemedicine to try to limit the number of visits pregnant women typically make to the clinic for checkups.
As for after the baby is born, Theiler says "it's really important that moms, even moms who've had COVID-19, continue to breastfeed during this time. There's no indication that breastfeeding is dangerous and it probably is helpful."
Theiler says new parents should keep others out of their home, for now, instead using social media or Zoom to share their excitement with friends and family.
