There are now 12 deaths in Minnesota from coronavirus, two more than were reported on Monday by the Minnesota Department of Health.
Tuesday’s update also shows an increase in lab-confirmed cases of 53 to 629. Of those cases, 56 remain hospitalized and 288 no longer have to be isolated, with 26 cases in intensive care.

Coronavirus cases are now found in 52 of Minnesota’s 87 counties, including new cases in the following:· Brown, where the largest city is New Ulm.· Carlton, in northeastern Minnesota just south of Duluth.· Lyon, where Marshall-based Schwan Food Company is located.· Traverse, along Lake Traverse and the Bois de Sioux River south of Fargo-Moorhead.
Among the total number of cases, 332 are ages 45 and older, with 277 in the 20-44 age range. Three confirmed cases are patients five years old and younger.
