
A car crash left one person dead early Saturday morning in Minneapolis.
Minneapolis police and fire responded to the accident at 3:42 a.m. at the intersection of 26th Street East and Cedar Avenue South. According to police spokesman John Elder, a vehicle traveling westbound on 26th Street East struck a vehicle traveling southbound on Cedar Avenue South. A male driver in his 50s who was inside the southbound vehicle died at the scene while three people in the westbound vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Drugs or alcohol impairment, excessive speed, and failing to obey a traffic control device are all believed to be factors in the crash. Police say the suspect is a male in his 30s. A blood draw warrant was executed and so far, the suspect has not been taken into custody.
